AP Summer Institute Scholarships Each year, College Board awards scholarships for qualifying teachers to attend an AP Summer Institute (APSI). We also award scholarships to teachers who are required to attend an AP Capstone professional learning event. These scholarships are offered to teachers at schools without funding for professional learning, and who meet the specific requirements described below. Scholarship Types The AP Fellows scholarship provides funds for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses to attend an AP Summer Institute. The $1,000 scholarship covers the cost of AP Summer Institute tuition. Remaining funds, if the APSI was in-person/on-site and after the tuition has been paid, will be sent to the teacher to be applied toward travel expenses. Scholarship Criteria Teachers must:
