I’m Dianne Fowler, Canadian, married to a Texan, mother and grandmother- three and three all living in Texas. Moving to Montana has been a bit of coming “home” for me having grown up in Saskatchewan. My husband, Bill and I LOVE this last, best place- hiking, camping, gorgeous weather, stunning beauty! Still feels like an extended holiday! I earned a B.Ed. at the U. of S. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, a M.Ed. in Gifted Education at HSU in Abilene, TX, taught 20 years elementary education in Canada, California and Texas. My passion and experience most recently has focused on Gifted Education in a variety of program options including cluster grouping, pull out and self-contained classrooms. I served as GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) teacher, coordinator and instructional specialist in Temple, TX before moving to Bozeman, June 2015. Here in Montana I have worked with OPI and SWMSS as a Gifted and Talented independent contractor/specialist. Projects have included gifted and talented workshops, developing two online GT courses, evaluating/assisting districts in creating, enhancing GT plans, and advocating, finding opportunities to support parents, teachers, and districts in serving gifted students. I am a member and presenter at the annual Montana AGATE Conference (Association for Gifted and Talented Education) and MEA/MFT Fall Conference.
