High Leverage Practices and Evidence-Based Practices, A Promising Pair with Dr. Jo Swain
via Zoom March 21, 2022 This two hour Zoom workshop is a school district's next step in providing staff with instructional strategies aligned to improving student learning for all students once it has already implemented a data driven process. Educators need to identify a critical set of practices that are essential to improving student learning and behavior . You will learn about High Leverage Practices (HLP's) and Evidence-Based Practices (EBP's) that align to the Danielson Framework and MTSS. The focus is to learn strategies that will improve student achievement.

You will explore resources from the CEEDAR Center, IRIS Center, Great Teachers and Leaders, and Montana's MTSS. MTSS is a framework for instruction that focuses on prevention and intervention.
Intended outcomes: You will learn what “high-leverage practices” are and why they are important.
Intended audience: Teacher and school administrators/leaders
