​A Promising Pair, Montana CEEDAR Center

This two hour Zoom workshop is a school district's next step in providing staff with instructional strategies aligned to improving student learning for all students once it has already implemented a data driven process.  Educators need to identify a critical set of practices that are essential to improving student learning and behavior . You will learn about High Leverage Practices (HLP's) and Evidence-Based Practices (EBP's) that align to the Danielson Framework and MTSS. The focus is to learn strategies that will improve student achievement.

You will explore resources from the CEEDAR Center, IRIS Center, Great Teachers and Leaders, and Montana's MTSS. MTSS is a framework for instruction that focuses on prevention and intervention.

Intended outcomes: You will learn what “high-leverage practices” are and why they are important.

About the instructor:  
​Dr. Jo Swain has served as an elementary principal, central office administrator and school superintendent. Additionally, Dr. Swain taught Clinical Supervision at the higher education level to over 125 aspiring leaders completing a master of educational leader degree. These years of leadership experience have provided her with a wealth of information and experience designed to assist you in your leadership journey!
