
Holding Space
This 3 hour workshop will use mindful awareness to explore and develop the skill of Holding Space. Holding Space is the capacity to emotionally support others. As a teacher learning how to cultivate this skill is essential for a healthy learning environment. The workshop will focus on how to hold space for oneself as well as others. Participants will learn tools and practicing skills to take home and bring into their classrooms. This course is designed for teachers and those interested in learning more about how to be in service of others without draining energy for to care for oneself.

About the host
Kate Crouch holds a Master's degree in Art Integration in Education from the University of Montana where she studied Mindfulness and Art. She has completed the Forest for Every Classroom teaching program through U of M and Montana Natural History Center. Her B.A is in Integrative Studies from Warren Wilson College.Kate is a certified Yoga instructor, with over 300 hrs in education. Currently She is a teaching artist for SPARK! Arts Missoula and conducts yoga classes in the valley. Her passion for teaching is rooted in her belief that movement, mindfulness and nature connection bring us all closer to our truest nature.
