The Mandt System is a comprehensive, integrated approach to preventing, de-escalating, and if necessary, intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others.

Part I: Mandt Relational Training
Chapter 1 – Building Healthy Relationships
Foundational beliefs, working as a team, dealing with emotions, causes of stress, and crisis cycle.
Chapter 2 – Building Healthy Communication
Nonverbal elements in communication, vocal elements in communication, verbal elements in communication: strategies for de-escalation.
Chapter 3 – Building Healthy Conflict Resolution
Communicating through problem solving, problem solving techniques.
Part II: Mandt Technical Training*** (not offered at this time due to COVID 19).
***GUIDANCE FROM MANDT ON TECHNICAL TRAINING:
If your area or organization is currently in a position where in-person training is currently not an option, there are still other pathways than can be utilized to help maintain your student’s certification. While the Technical portions of our program may not be available to you all at this time, it is important to remember that a student’s expiration date is based on their Relational training. Therefore, if they are recertified in the Relational section, then they will not expire. Once it is safe to do so, Technical training can then be conducted and added to their Relational certificates to complete their certification. Please note that while this will help keep the student out of an expired status, they will not be certified in any of the Technical skills until the in-person Technical portion of the course can be completed.
