We offered two trainings in Kalispell in November, 2017.  The first workshop was Relational and the second was Technical.  Click on the links below to register and for pricing, info, etc.
​The Mandt System is a comprehensive, integrated approach to preventing, de-escalating, and if necessary, intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others.

We offered training in Kalispell in January 2017.  The first workshop on January 6, 2017 was MANDT Relational.  MANDT Technical trainings were available on either January 13th or 20th.

Mindfulness/Holding Space Workshop
This 2 day workshop will use Mindfulness Arts to explore and develop the skill of Holding Space. Holding Space is the capacity to emotionally support others.  As a teacher learning how to cultivate this skill is essential for a healthy learning environment.  The workshop will focus on how to hold space for oneself as well as others. We will be practicing yoga, meditation and forest bathing among other arts for self reflection and awareness.  Participants will be learning and practicing skills to take home and bring into their classrooms.
There will be discussions on energetics and non-violent communication both days.  This course is designed for teachers or anyone interested in learning more about how to be in service of others without draining energy for to care for oneself.

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act & Foster Care Under ESSA presentations
Come learn about changes to McKinney-Vento and the new rules around foster care that go into effect on Dec. 10, 2016.
Presentations will take place January 18, 2017 in Missoula and January 26, 2017 in Kalispell.    The presentation will cover the following topics – school stability, credit accrual & college readiness, preschool, FERPA, foster care & liaison responsibilities.    

1-1.5 hours for the presentation and then 30-45 minutes of Q&A.

Who should attend? – homeless liaisons, administrators,  school counselors, or anyone else who would benefit from homeless training.

Improve Classroom Instruction with MT EPAS
Montana Educator Performance Appraisal System:  Exploring the Professional Growth Model

Join educators in our region for an overview of the Danielson Framework for Effective Instruction.  The morning session will review the essentials of the domains and components of the framework.  The afternoon will explore tools and resources for using the framework to improve your own teaching practice or implement a professional growth model in your school.  Effective, interactive teaching strategies will be modeled.  Participants will walk away with ideas for action steps in addition to receiving participation handouts, 2013 evaluation rubrics, and Smartcards.  This workshop is sponsored by WMPLC.
