This 2-hour Zoom workshop provides current educators, teachers and school leaders, with a closer look at current thinking for teacher professional growth and evaluation. As a result of Race to the Top federal legislation, school districts across the entire country are revisiting current systems and practices related to all aspects of how classroom observations take place, how feedback conferences are held with staff, and how the process assists staff in individual professional growth. Typically, state education agencies have been required to demonstrate staff evaluation occurs annually by a licensed administrator (evaluator). Currently, in the state of Montana significant changes have been offered in supporting Montana school districts with a myriad of resources and tools aligned to a research-based instructional model (Danielson Framework for Teaching). Jigsaw Consulting and WMPLC have partnered to bring current practice to all educators in Montana through user-friendly tools and resources.
