Trauma Support "Follow-Up" Cohort for School Administrators with Stacy York Nation, LCSW
via Zoom
Calling all School Administrators who have participated in our past Trauma Support Cohorts! We have created a "follow up" cohort for you. We all know that administrators have very few people they can lean on to talk through the difficult decisions they are faced with each day. This group is to provide a safe space to address those tough topics and give new ideas for how to support students, teachers, and parents.
We will meet one week per month for 9 months. This will be hosted on Zoom remote conferencing. The structure of each monthly meeting (1 hour each) will be a Q/A and support structure. You can bring challenges to this group and we will provide support and feedback to work through various challenges that are occurring in the school setting.
We will continue to utilize trauma-informed strategies to address any challenges that administrators are facing with students, parents, teachers, or within the system.
Who should attend? School Administrators who have participated in our past Trauma Support Cohorts.
DATES for 2022-2023:
September 27, October 25, November 29, December 13, January 24, February 21, March 28, April 25, and May 16 2022-23 (Tuesdays from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.)
Cost: $25/per session for at total of $225 for the 9 week cohort (You will receive an invoice via email.)
Credits: 9 Montana OPI renewal units provided (1 unit per session)
Instructor: Stacy G. York Nation, LCSW, Social Worker
Stacy is a licensed clinical social worker who got her start in school based mental health. She has a small private practice in Colorado. Stacy has spent the last 5 years traveling the country to train and educate professional educators on trauma-informed care. Stacy completed a grant project with Montana’s OPI that included the completion of a trauma-informed student handbook template. Stacy is familiar with the rural nature of Montana and all that goes with that in trying to meet the needs of a community. Stacy also serves as a Behavioral Health Officer in the Wyoming Army National Guard. This experience has provided Stacy with opportunities to work with higher level officials in problem solving hard, tough system issues.
