Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching in Practice     
Series of 1 hour webinars 

Join Kathleen Dent for our series of four webinars that will include: case study; collaborative conversations; setting up observation process; setting collaborative cycle; goal setting with staff once a quarter on implementing the Danielson Framework in schools.

Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching in Practice: Domain 1—Planning and Preparation
Explore the six components in Domain 1 of the Danielson Framework.  Determine what evidence or artifacts would be used to evaluate performance in this Domain.  Discuss tips for professional conversations and goal setting with teachers to support planning and preparation for better instructional outcomes.  Examine resources for professional development and have time to ask questions.

Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching in Practice:  Domain 2—The Classroom Environment
How do you establish a culture of respect and rapport and organize a classroom to promote that culture?  Explore the components of Domain 2 of the Danielson Framework. View classroom teachers in action and discuss evidence needed to conduct a professional conversation around what you observe.  Discuss strategies to improve the components of classroom management and develop a positive case example of proficient teaching behaviors in Domain 2.

The heart of the Framework is student engagement.  How do the components of Domain 3 support instructional strategies that engage students and positively impact achievement.  Watch teachers teaching engaging lessons and use your observations to determine examples of proficiency and set goals for improvement.  Examine resources for professional development for questioning and grouping.

Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching in Practice:  Domain 4—Professional Responsibility
As the school year comes to a close, examine the components of Domain 4 and discuss the elements that build professionalism and collegiality.  Examine evidence to determine levels of performance in these crucial components. Discuss the artifacts of Domain 4 and set goals for ending the year on a positive note and teeing up the next year for success.  Examine resources for book study to grow your practice and build your competence in professional growth and conversations.
